Building a loose laid brick patio

I'm spending my weekend in the backyard building a loose laid brick patio.  Fortunately, there are alot of how-to's on the web for building one.  Here are three that I read to get me going:
The steps to do it are pretty straightforward.  Unfortunately, information about where to find the materials in Seattle is very scarce.  After doing research myself and making a bunch of phone calls, I figured I would post the links so maybe google picks it up and someone else in town can save some time and money.

Where can i get a truck to haul the materials around?
Handy Andy has never let me down.  You can call them at 206-367-5050.  The place they have north of downtown on Aurora Ave is one of a kind - you'll know what i mean if you ever go there.  Two words:  rubber gloves.

Where do I get rid of all the dirt I just dug up?
There are 2 good options.  First is the free route. Search on seattle.craigslist.org for 'dirt' or 'fill dirt'.  There is always someone who needs some dirt.  The hassle here can be coordinating times and who picks up the dirt, etc.

If you're like me and are (a) not a good pre-planner, and (b) only really have the weekend to do this I recommend the second option: using a truck and getting rid of it yourself.  http://www.metrokc.gov/dnrp/swd/wdidw/material.asp - scroll down and click on "Landscaping/Landclearing".  Check Residence and Clean Soil and then click Search.  If you have a lot of dirt to haul, call up some friends and give them beer when they're done helping.

The place I went to in Seattle is called Pacific Topsoils (www.pacifictopsoils.com), which i really recommend.  First, they are open Saturday AND Sunday - good luck finding that anywhere else.  There are only a handful of other places open on the weekends, and they all are only on Saturday until about 4.  I was also able to get rid of the dirt and pick up the gravel and sand (at the going rate of about $30 per cubic yard) all in one shot.  Other places I called only sold gravel and sand (no dirt dump off), this would've meant two trips, because i still had to get rid of the dirt.  Getting dirt/gravel/sand really increases the price, especially on small projects - so be aware of that if you're considering delivery.

Where do I get gravel and sand?
See above.  Use Pacific Topsoils and make one trip.  You can spend the extra time you save cracking a cold beverage on your new patio.

I'll add more information if I think of it later on.

[update, Aug 29] I finally got around to posting some pictures of the project.  One is of the project after the first day with the hole completely dug out, the other is with the finished project.

By far the trickiest part of the whole project is getting the sand perfectly level under the pavers.  The picture is a little decieving and makes it look less level than it actually is.  I need to sweep some more sand in the cracks between the pavers and the spaces between the pavers won't be so pronounced.
